Terms and Conditions of Entry

  1. All entrants must accept and comply with all the event Terms and Conditions.
  2. There will be no alternative weather day for this event.
  3. Helmets are compulsory during the Snow and Bike stages of the event.
  4. Entrants must follow ALL aspects of the Snow Responsibility Code and obey New Zealand road rules.
  5. It is the entrant’s responsibility to ensure that any of their equipment used in the event is in safe condition to compete with.
  6. Entrants must comply with all directions of event officials, marshals and security personnel as well as all event signage.
  7. Pure Tūroa Ltd. reserve the right to change the course on event day for snow, safety or weather considerations.
  8. It is each entrant’s responsibility to ensure that they have adequately prepared themselves physically for the event.
  9. The Organisers reserve the right to design a new first leg of the race if weather or other conditions do not allow for a ski/board leg.
  10. Entrants agree that their first priority is the safety of themselves and others. Pure Tūroa Ltd. will not accept any liability for injury/fatality to any participant or damage/loss of property.
  11. All competitors are encouraged to label all their equipment with competitor name/number and contact phone number. The organisers take no responsibility for equipment damage/loss.
  12. All entrants are required to attend a competitors’ briefing as posted in Competitor’s Information on the day of the event.
  13. It is the responsibility of the competitor to be in position for the start of the event.
  14. No exceptions will be made to lift operations or road closures for competitors who miss scheduled timings.
  15. It is each entrant’s responsibility to be informed and read all information made available regarding the event.
  16. Each entrant will accept that all instructions, whether written or verbal, are clear and unambiguous.
  17. Any entrant who, in the opinion of the organisers, fails to comply with these event conditions may be disqualified from the event; no refund will be granted.
  18. Entries will be accepted according to Competitor’s Information; late entries may not be accepted.
  19. Categories will be divided as follows; Open Men, Open Woman, Team (must include one female and must be a team of three), Youth <16. Youth is open to all genders, those under 18 will need a parent guardian present at the safety check to sign their waiver.
